If there was one moment where America ceased being a democracy it was when the GOP riot in South Florida took place. I was in Miami at the time and was sickened to see the recount stopped simply because a bunch of blue blooded thugs (sent by plane from DC) stormed the building and caused a ruckus. (I have written about this many times.) This mentality has continued and accelerated. Now I have just found out that: Tim Griffin, the houseboy Rove insisted replace the Arkansas US Attorney was on the Florida recount team. So was [Alberto Gonzalez' Chief of Staff] Kyle Sampson. Surprised? Me either. In fact even less surprising is the fact that these enemies of America were almost universally rewarded by the Red friendly organizations after stopping the recount. The America that served as a beacon of hope to the world for 200 years is dead and these are the people who killed it.
